Dear Old Scholars,

I hope this message finds you and your family safe, well, and thriving.

I am writing to you today not only as the President of the BHS Old Scholars Association, but also as a proud graduate who, like you, owes a great deal to the institution that helped shape who we are today. BHS provided us not just with an education, but with lifelong friendships, values, and opportunities that continue to serve us till this day.

Today, however, the future of many deserving BHS students hangs in the balance.

As you are aware, Lebanon continues to go through a difficult economic period. Inflation has soared, household incomes have been strained, and the cost of living has increased drastically. In parallel, tuition fees have risen sharply, creating an overwhelming financial burden on families and making quality education increasingly inaccessible to many.

Every day at the OSA Financial Aid Department, we receive heart-wrenching stories of bright, hardworking BHS students who are at risk of dropping out simply because their families can no longer afford the fees. These are students with dreams, ambition, and potential, just like we had. It is our collective responsibility to ensure that financial hardship does not extinguish those dreams.

This is where we, as Old Scholars, must come together.

Today, I am kindly asking you all to support the OSA Financial Aid Programme, which is dedicated to providing financial assistance to students in need. Every contribution, no matter the size, directly helps a student stay in school, continue their education, and work toward a better future.
