Round Table workshop entitled “How to Cultivate a Thriving Garden at Home”

Dear All,

The OSA is pleased to invite you to a one of a kind Round Table workshop entitled “How to Cultivate a Thriving Garden at Home”, on Saturday May 6, 2023 at 4:00 pm at BHS.

Old Scholar Mr. Houssam Shaiban ’89, will give us a hands-on gardening workshop where he will take us through tips and techniques to create a thriving garden at home and will educate us on the best herbs and vegetables to plant, depending on the season.
He will also give us a tour of the BHS Botanical Garden that is being created at BHS and will explain what it means for our school to be a member of the Botanic Gardens Conservation International.

Mr. Shaiban is an Agricultural Engineer who holds two BSc Degrees in Agriculture Engineering and Crop Science, an MSc in Crop Production and Protection as well as a PhD in Restoration Ecology from the Avignon University in France.
He is also the curator of the BHS Botanical Garden and aids in the Gardening Club at BHS, which is materializing into a unique concept in the Middle East.

On the day of the event, we will meet at the BHS Main Gate at 4:00 pm sharp and start our workshop soon after, so please arrive on time!

The event is free of charge and kids are also welcome.
